R&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc., located in Paris, Ontario, is a manufacturer of steel fabricated products.

We are currently looking for experienced Production GMAW (MIG) Welders to join our production team in the weld department. Production Welders are responsible for welding subassemblies and final assemblies using production fixtures/jigs in a fast-paced, high volume environment to meet specification.

The qualified applicants will have the following qualifications and perform the following duties:

Energetic individual able to work in fast paced environment with high productivity
Minimum 1 year experience with GMAW (MIG) welding in a production environment
CWB certification is an asset
Experience using overhead cranes and forklifts (including propane exchange) an asset
Physically fit and capable of standing for long periods of time (9 hr shifts) with frequent movement (lifting, carrying, bending, turning and pulling) of material up to 50+ lbs
Excellent attendance record and punctuality
Must have a good health and safety record and adhere to all safety protocols
Must be able to work well in a team environment
Day shift: Monday through Thursday 7am – 4:30 pm; Friday 7am – 2:30pm
Afternoon shift: Monday through Thursday 5pm – 2:30am; Friday 3pm – 10:30pm

Handling and Physical Requirements:

Frequent movement (lifting, carrying, bending, turning and pulling)
Standing for up to 9 hours per day
Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment as per company standards (safety glasses, gloves and steel-toed CSA certified boots)

Compensation:

Hourly wage to be determined, commensurate with skill and experience
Availability for overtime (subject to production needs)

Compensation

$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
